Food-spiration

I am on the road to a healthier lifestyle, and on that road you need a balanced diet so I thought I would share with you some of my meals throughout the coming weeks.



Breakfast!

 With Summer comes the large consumption of fruits and vegetable, mostly raw. I love having Jalna Greek Yoghurt, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and banana for my breakfast when I don't feel like rolled oats or eggs.


Team breakfast with tea, not coffee
 Drink herbal tea! It makes it easier, if you like tea, to up your daily water intake. Coffee is a diuretic which means it promotes the production of urine dehydrating your body of fluids, if you choose to drink coffee remember to drink extra water or swap coffee for herbal teas.


Tea is full of antioxidants, this is my current favourite
 Rosehip, Lemongrass and Ginger, my current mostly drank tea - after Camomile of course. I always feel so good after having this in the mornings, it definitely wakes me up almost as much as coffee does. Rosehip is beneficial for your skin, if you are like me and suffer from sensitivity/irritations/redness this is a little wonder berry and easily consumed in tea - but of course the actual berry would be best. Lemongrass and Ginger help detox and flush out your body's toxins, strengthen immunity and work alongside the rosehip to better your complexion. You can buy the Nerada tea range from supermarkets.


Buy a funky mug for your tea, it encourages me to drink more
 I picked this awesome Santa mug up from Woolworths for only $6! It's not microwave or dishwasher safe, and I was hesitant to put hot water in it but it hasn't broken yet! Why would you buy an almost useless mug you ask? Um, it's so freaking cute! That's why.
