Josh Thomas, Australian Comedian, is the writer and leading actor of Aussie ABC drama 'Please Like Me' which follows the fictional life of socially awkward Thomas, a twenty year old Melbourne guy with a mentally ill Mother and overbearing Father who's world is turned upside down and changed forever over night. If you watch one series this year let it be this.

Thomas is awkwardly hilarious and covers topics like LGBT, breaking ups, invasive Aunts, mental illness, divorce, manipulative and emotionally abusive relationships, suicide, pregnancy plus much more. If you like Australian/British humor you will probably love this.

With well written characters, who I bet you have one or all of these type casts in your social circle, and a mirage of topical events I guarantee you will be engaged throughout the entire series. Thomas comes to learn quickly that even his Parents don't have it all figured out yet.

Good news for lovers of Please Like Me because they have locked in season 3 and season 2 is due to air 12th August 2014 on ABC2 in Australia and Pivot in the US so you have plenty of time to catch up on the 6-part series one.
